Marine Technician and/or Installer
Bills Marine Cairns are looking for a Full Time Qualified Marine Mechanic and/or Installer to join the team. Someone that is confident, knowledgeable and that can work without supervision and be part of a team.
Tasks include
Repowering, servicing and repairs of Yamaha outboard.
Install work requires general marine knowledge for the installations of new outboards, marine accessories and electronics.
You would be working with world class leading products like Yamaha, Minn Kota, Garmin, Lowrance, Simrad and Fusion just to name a few.
Installers would also be working on trailer adjustments, repairs and general assistance with other team members.
Required:

Ability to work unsupervised

Own hand tools

Highly organised and self-motivated

Excellent attention to detail and pride in work

Have the ability to identify parts

Have a current drivers licence (Forklift Licence desirable)

Have a current boat licence (or a willingness to obtain one)

Marine Mechanic Apprenticeship
Bills Marine is looking for a passionate and committed Team member to undertake a Full Time Marine Mechanic Apprenticeship.
Working with a motivated team in a professional workshop facility the successful applicant will be reporting to the Service Foreman, you will receive ongoing mentoring, learning in-the-job, acquiring/ applying the skills and knowledge while completing a ‘Certificate III in Marine Mechanical Technology’ through Tafe Queensland.
The Successful applicant must have a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for boating. The successful applicant must be willing to obtain a current boating licence. You must be committed to completing 4 years of on-the-job training and 4 week block twice a year release program at the TAFE QLD over the 4 years.
You will be responsible for:

Carrying out servicing & general mechanical repairs on Yamaha Outboards

Learn how to diagnose, problem solve & rectify the outboard motor problems.

Continue to be up-to-date with current technology

Gain a Certificate III in Marine Mechanical Technology
